Ronstadt Transit Center |
||
| The Acacia Group provided landscape architecture services for Tucson's new central bus station facility in the downtown area. The plan incorporates several amenities associated with the downtown master plan streetscape improvements. | These elements include brick paving and plantings of Heritage Live Oak trees, the downtown street tree, around the site perimeter. Within the Transit Center, the main thrust of the landscape architectural concept consists of canopy shaped deciduous trees which | provide deep shade in the summer months and filtered sunlight in the winter. The balance of the plant palette is relatively simple, using evergreen, flowering shrubs and groundcovers selected to compliment the architectural elements of the facility. |
