A multi-agency technical team of City, County, and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) staff developed the project with the engineering consultant. The role of The Acacia Group was to enhance the three well sites. A wall concept and a landscape plan were developed to mitigate the visual impact of the water treatment facility near St. Joseph's Hospital east of the Wilmot Library. A Well Site and Injection Well Site Landscape Plan were designed using decorative fences, stone masonry pilasters, native mesquite and palo verde trees, desert flower seeding and desert riparian shrubs for neighborhood sites near existing residences, Alamo Wash channel, alleys and streets. City of Tucson Native Plant Preservation Ordinance and Watercourse Amenities, Safety and Habitat Ordinance (WASHO) compliance work was also completed for the three well sites and pipeline route. Tucson, Arizona.

bulletNortheast "E" Zone Reservoir. The firm carried out a native plant inventory for the Tucson Water Department to meet the State of Arizona Native Plant Law and Pima County NPPO requirements. Three hundred eighty eight (388) Giant Saguaros were inventoried and the density and types of native vegetation were identified by transect analysis in order to develop an exact template for revegetating a 2-acre fill slope that is downhill from the 5-million gallon water storage tank. The firm also designed the reconstruction and revegetation of a natural wash that occurs on the site. Pima County, Arizona.

The road is located adjacent to a designated Environmental Resource Zone that requires 100% of the disturbed landscape to be replaced as it existed prior to the road construction. Tucson, Arizona.

bulletPortofino Apartment Project, La Paloma Planned Community. The firm was engaged to carry out a re-evaluation of approximately 300 Giant Saguaros on one of the planning blocks at La Paloma where the Saguaros were inventoried and evaluated earlier in 1981.
